Keep Internet use safe and compliant with IT policies

To keep your company’s Internet use safe and in compliance IT policies, you need a tool that provides the full picture. By combining fast image processing with text and behavior analysis, NetOp Netfilter distinguishes safe from unsafe contents with almost perfect accuracy.

How it works

A unique combination

With the output from a unique combination of image analysis, text analysis and a historical behavior analysis fed into an artificial intelligence decision engine, NetOp Netfilter analyzes web content in real-time and applies rules on the fly. And it does it 100% dynamically, with no need for updates.

Image analysis

NetOp Netfilter is one of the only filters that utilize image analysis. Most sites with offensive contents have a high image-to-text ratio. NetOp Netfilter uses its high precision and fast image analysis to analyze and block offensive or inappropriate content. By examining a range of features in an image such as shape, color and faces, Netfilter correctly blocks unwanted images while non-offensive images are allowed.

Text analysis

NetOp Netfilter also analyses the text in real-time in order to provide an even more precise solution. Many languages are supported including English, Spanish, German, French and the Nordic languages. Individual words as well as sentences and page setup are analyzed for maximum precision.

Behavior analysis

NetOp Netfilter uses historical behavior analysis to track behavior of the individual user to further increase the precision of the content categorization.

Artificial intelligence

Because of the complexity in analyzing images, text and behavior, NetOp Netfilter utilizes an state-of-the-art artificial intelligent decision engine, developed and trained to correctly distinguish between the different categories, hence between inappropriate and relevant content.

Dynamic content filtering

NetOp Netfilter analyses web content in real-time without consulting a black list of disallowed pages. By using a dynamic engine, NetOp Netfilter can block existing web content as well as those of tomorrow. NetOp Netfilter does not require constant updates to cope with the many new offensive sites that are introduced to the Internet each day.

Features

No updates, no hassle, no slip-ups

NetOp Netfilter is a 100% dynamic content filtering solution based on artificial intelligence utilizing a combination of advanced image, text and behavior analysis.

Scalable technology

The technology is built to scale from filtering very few workstations to thousands of workstations. By simply adding filter servers managed from central site admin servers the functionality can be expanded to suite the size and growth of the individual company.

Dynamic analysis and filtering

The technology is built on 100% dynamic analysis methods obtaining the advantage of always being able to categorize incoming content, without relying on daily or weekly updates on URL-lists.

No need for updates

In 2005 the Internet was estimated to consist of 11.5 billions URL’s. If this fact is added to the volatile nature of the Internet where thousands of URL chance, is deleted or added every day, it is evident that it is practically impossible to keep an URL database up to date. By having the dynamic nature of the NetOp Netfilter this problem is none existing hence the accuracy of the categorization is unique and will supply the correct verdicts inevitably, hence protecting the employee from making mistakes, protecting the company image and providing an accurate log of the internet behaviour to the management.

Blocks IM, Chat, P2P, Streaming Audio and Video and much more

NetOp Netfilter has a built in application control, to stop IM, Chat, P2P and other specified .exe programs hence the employee is unable to start any of these programs on the workstation and avoid the risk associated by using IM, Chat and P2P. Also streaming audio and video can be controlled to avoid the misuse of bandwidth.

Image/Flash/Text/Behaviour analysis

The NetOp Netfilter is unique in its technology, because it is analysing images, text and the individual behaviour. All results from these individual analysis engines are fed into an artificial intelligence engine giving the final verdict and categorization of the content of an individual webpage.
