ENTERPRISE INTERNATIONAL (EI) drops the NTP Software product line after 11 years and takes a corporate decision to represent and support the well-known Swedish developed storage resource management solution Northern Storage Suite developed by Northern ParkLife AB.

EI announces today the signing of an agreement between the two companies for the distribution and technical support of Northern Storage Suite Version 8.0 (NSS) that is be being sold today as the complete SRM tool. Within NSS we have the following functionalities:
 

STORAGE QUOTAS: Hard control over directory size and usage by user, or soft control for monitored growth and enhanced accountability.
FILE BLOCKING: Preventing specific file types from being saved, extension-based real-time scanning and scheduled binary-level scanning preserve system performance
ENTERPRISE-WIDE REPORTING: Identification of how resources are currently being used and how they will be used in the future; regular updates, analysis and strategy recommendations.
STORAGE PORTAL: increase user involvement in managing their own data. Distribution of interactive user-centric reports that detail an individual user’s largest, oldest, duplicate and media files
STORAGE CHARGEBACK: Billing and reporting to spread cost awareness and encourage storage efficiency.

The decision to move to Northern was based on 4 main factors: a) Sound and stable technology in constant evolution, b) Our European customers demand state of the art technology at an affordable price, c) Readily available technical assistance when and where required , and d) an established solution with a world-wide presence. Virtualization has become one of the hottest trends in technology circles over the past year. Many companies are working on their virtualization strategies using technologies from Microsoft, VMWare, Xen, and others.
