While the term Storage Resource Management means many
things to many people, today’s release of Northern Storage Suite boils it down to mean what
senior management and IT admins need most: a tool that centralizes control over their entire
Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 storage infrastructure and efficiently reduces network
clutter – the torrent of data which drain resources and productivity (the ability to download and
save unlimited mp3s, jpgs, etc. – many of which are not job related – can translate into hours
of wasteful activity). Northern Storage Suite affords IT administrators more control over even
the most diverse user populations, and the flexibility to implement a solution tailored to the
specific needs of the organization.
Northern Storage Suite does this by applying business principles to storage resource
management. Northern Storage Suite forecasts storage trends and expenditures, enforces
storage policies, budgets, allocates and “charges back” resources, and maximizes workforce
productivity by both limiting and filtering “recreational” data (while providing incentives to users
to prioritize their data, assuring that essential documents and emails are preserved). Northern
Storage Suite also sustains business continuity by promoting application availability and
optimal network performance.

 

PeerSync 7.4 - Now Available

  • Tighter PeerLock Integration: the ability to configure, manage, and monitor PeerLock from the Profiler.
  • Enhanced Scan Processing: the ability to dynamically build multiple sub Jobs from each Job in a Profile for parallel processing of folder scans, shortening the time of completion for scanning.
  • Enhanced Event Processing: the ability to parallel process real-time, retry and any other non-scan events, optimizing performance and minimizing processing time.
  • Bi-directional through TCP: added functionality to support bi-directional synchronization with source and/or target being a TCP connected folder.
  • Improved Interface: added four main sections to the Profiler: PeerSync, PeerLock, Run/View, and Service/Startup.

DameWare NT Utilities (DNTU) is an enterprise system management application for Windows NT, 2000, XP, 2003 & Vista.  DNTU provides an integrated collection of Windows Administration Utilities incorporated within a centralized interface for remote management of Windows Servers and Workstations. The DameWare Mini Remote Control program and the DameWare Exporter are also integrated within the NT Utilities software suite.   However, the Mini Remote Control and the Exporter are also offered as stand-alone applications if you don't require the full functionality that the NT Utilities suite has to offer.

The DameWare Mini Remote Control program is a powerful, yet lightweight remote control tool intended primarily for Administrators and Help Desk personnell. Mini Remote Control was developed specifically for 32-bit & 64-bit Windows Operating Systems, and was designed for quick and easy deployment without external dependencies and machine reboots.
